So, what exactly is an agrihood and how long have they been around? Simply put, an agrihood is a type of planned community that integrates agriculture into a residential neighborhood whose residents celebrate agriculture and rural roots. The concept was first introduced in 2014 in Southern California in efforts to bring home buyers closer to land that was centered around fresh food production, green space and recreation.
