A partnership for positivity!
The basketball courts at the Doolittle Complex in Las Vegas were recently refurbished due to an initiative made possible by a partnership between the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation, The City of Las Vegas and Icy Hot. Cre8Play was commissioned to design and build the commemorative basketball and Shaq shoes situated at the courts’ entrance.
The basketball features an imprint of Shaq’s hand so players can see how they measure up! They can also compare shoe size next to Shaq’s shoes cemented into the concrete at a the foot of the commemorative bench.
“I live in Las Vegas and know first-hand the difficult times these areas have experienced in the past, so it’s very rewarding for me on a personal level,” said Shaq. “We are excited to make a difference in a positive way through the Comebaq Courts initiative. My Foundation is working with Icy Hot to create a healthy playground to support the next generation of athletes. We hope that this community will come together and use this space for years to come.”
Additional basketball courts will refurbish across the country, allowing young athletes to have a sense of pride and a positive place to meet and exercise.
